Throughout Margaret Robnett's adult life she has been involved in the Real Estate business in one way or another. After graduation from San Bernardino State College in 1972 she worked with a leading lending institution then moved into new residential construction and sales with her husband, Ray.
They moved their family to Idaho in 1982 and Margaret got her Real Estate License in the State of Idaho in 1985. She received her first designation, Certified Residential Specialist, in 1986. She then went on to received her Idaho Brokers License and formed a union with her husband Ray to create Robnett Properties, Inc. in 1990.
Since that time she has been a top producer in Ada County as a member of the Circle of Excellence and Honor Society. She went on to become a Graduate of the Realtors Institute in 1992, earned the Women's Council of Realtors Leadership Training Graduated designation in 2001 and the Performance Management Network designation in 2004. From 2002 to 2004 she was the broker for the second largest production builder in Idaho, while continuing to be the broker of her own firm. Also in 2004 she received the Tribute to Women in Industry (TWIN) Award and was honored by the Ada County Association of Realtors with the Distinguished Service Award. Margaret has taken numerous educational courses during her career that have kept her current and abreast of an ever changing Real Estate Market, most recently completing the e-PRO course.
She has served her industry on numerous committees, as well as on the boards for Intermountain Multiple Listing Service and Ada County Association of Realtors. She has been an active member of Brokers Council of Idaho since 1985 and served as their president for one term. She is actively involved with Capital City Women's Council of Realtors serving as Treasurer for two terms, President-Elect and finally President in 2005. She remained on the WCR board for another two years. The most recent honor was bestowed on Margaret in the fall of 2008 when she was selected as The Business Women of the Year for WCR.
Margaret often says that she feels like a pirate. Someone describes their "treasure", giving her a skeleton of a map and she gets to go and discover the treasure for her client. Finding the right house for a buyer is a delightful, challenging treasure hunt.
When not working with buyers and sellers in real estate, Margaret enjoys traveling with her husband of 40 years. They have three adult children and seven grandchild that they enjoy spending as much time with as possible. She also finds pleasure in horse back riding, travel, playing the piano and getting her fingernails dirty by working in the yard. She and her husband are very active in their church and enjoy volunteering in a variety of organizations, including, but not limited to Camp River Run, Ride for Joy, and Dog Therapy, Inc.
